MGP turns to AI to manage the enrolment of 185,000 Ministry of the Interior employees

MGP, the mutual insurer selected by the French Ministry of the Interior to manage supplementary health protection for its employees, has been working with Rizlum since 2024 on a broad operational transformation programme aimed at automating a number of administrative processes.

The project was initially driven by an unusually demanding task: enrolling 185,000 Ministry of the Interior employees and their dependants in less than two months.
Alongside the enrolment process, MGP also had to handle around 500,000 supporting documents, including social security certificates, bank details and family records. The scale of the exercise created both a substantial administrative workload and a sharp increase in telephone enquiries following enrolment.

The insurer therefore sought a model capable of handling exceptional volumes without allowing processing times or service standards to deteriorate, while also keeping operating costs under control.
