Atain Insurance Companies Select Oceanwide’s Bridge Insurance Software Suite

SaaS and Ability to Utilize Across Different Companies Key to Decision

MONTREAL--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Oceanwide, an Insurity company and developer of industry-leading, configurable, SaaS based insurance software, today announced that Atain Insurance Companies (Atain), surplus lines carriers headquartered in Farmington Hills, Michigan, has selected Oceanwide’s Bridge Insurance Software Suite and Insurity’s Claims Decisions to support its commercial package, commercial property, and commercial general liability lines of business. Atain will be using Bridge’s portal, policy administration, rating, billing, document generation, and reporting modules.

Atain conducted an extensive search to replace a legacy system that was not meeting its functionality or technology needs. Oceanwide delivered a proof of concept that provided Atain with a vision of its future system. A key consideration for Atain was that Bridge could be used for carriers, MGAs and brokers – creating the possibility that they could leverage Bridge to address multiple functions across the enterprise.

“We were impressed with the Oceanwide team and the Bridge and Claims Decisions solutions,” said Michael Paulin, Vice President and Managing Director of Information Technology, H.W. Kaufman Financial Group, “As a part of H.W. Kaufman Financial Group, it was important that we selected a system that not only met Atain’s requirements but was also flexible and could be configured to improve the user experience across the many companies within our group.”

“We are proud to be working with such a respected insurer and support their continued growth,” said Mitchell Wasserman, Chief Executive Officer, Oceanwide. “We look forward to a long relationship with Atain.”

“Atain is excited about partnering with one of the leading IT companies in the insurance space,” said Wayne A. Bates, President, Atain Insurance Companies. “This investment is a key part of our strategy to continually improve the experience and efficiencies for our broker and agent partners.”

Oceanwide’s Bridge Insurance Software Suite is specifically designed to streamline processing for property and casualty (P&C) insurers, brokers, and MGAs. Bridge features Smart Configuration (no programming or scripting) to provide a system that is configurable by business users. Bridge enables a high degree of self-sufficiency, and can handle multi-lingual and multi-currency transactions.

Claims Decisions is a comprehensive claims system for all standard commercial & personal lines, workers’ compensation, specialty, and custom lines of business. The system combines a feature-rich core with the flexibility of a modern, sophisticated configuration platform to ensure insurers can streamline processes for their unique needs while providing a personalized experience for all users.
